Full Interior Design Package

Designed to be a gallery for high-quality wood flooring, the Lamella Flooring showroom also serves as a community hub for the design industry in Victoria. The space, located in a heritage building in Victoria’s design district, elevates wood flooring as a foundational material in design projects.

The floors and custom meeting table are finished with extra-extra wide-plank oak flooring, showcasing how wood flooring material may be used to create bespoke furniture and millwork pieces. The pared-down space is warmed by the texture of the building's original brick and wood beams. Maintaining the authentic character of the space was integral to creating a boutique feel.

Wall-mounted display boards enable consultants and clients to view products at a large scale while smaller-scale samples are filed neatly in drawers, simplifying the design and specification process. The office is tucked away beyond the showroom, resulting in a space that feels welcoming and completely open to visitors to browse as they please.

An ottoman offers a place to sit, while mirroring the pattern of the wide floor planks below. Full-height drapery softly glows with natural light at the entry, elevating the private service experience and brightening the facade from the exterior. The adjustable lighting system disappears in the plenum above, while providing maximum flexibility for illuminating displays.
